Purpose

This policy provides clarity and parameters for full-time employees who seek or hold secondary positions outside the University.

Scope

This policy applies to all full-time faculty and staff employed by the University.

Policy

Secondary or outside employment is any additional employment for which compensation is paid by an external source while the employee is working with the university. ²Ø¾«¸ó understands the right for an employee to search for and obtain secondary employment outside of the university but expects that a full-time employee complies with the guidelines presented below.

Failure to comply

If secondary employment does not meet the guidelines outlined above, or interferes with the with the primary work and performance of the ²Ø¾«¸ó employee, disciplinary action may be taken up to and including termination of employment from the University.
