HFS 400 Adapted Physical Education students with Assistant Professor Heather Pennington, partner with the Special Olympics Young Athlete Program each semester to provide 10 weekly lessons for 3-5 year olds at an early childhood center in the Parkway School District. These lessons are themed with motor development skills and fun activities to improve movement, sensory integration, communication skills, and more! It is so incredible to see the ²Ø¾«¸ó students grow and learn about working with students with disabilities and creating their own lesson plans that they implement throughout the semester.
